Technical Info

The site runs using PHP 8.x and MariaDB/MySQL and uses JavaScript for the Lightbox 2 script to display images.
The site is HTML 5 with CSS 2.1 and embedded fonts.

The site uses cookies to store theme settings so that you don't have to keep changing when you next visit the site.
The SFXB forum uses cookies in order to preserve user logins. across sessions and the site piggybacks this login cookie to personalise the site a little.

The site is designed to display in practically any browser. It still even works well on Windows Mobile's Spartan Edge browser, for example.
The only thing that prevents it from working with even older browsers is that the site forces SSL encryption.
I felt that forcing the encryption of data in flight, which might include usernames and passwords for the forum, was more important than backwards compatibility with very old browsers.
