The camera isn't as good all-round as the one in the Lumia 950.
That being said, the OLED display is very bright: moreso than the Lumia's display, which is helpful when framing a shot outdoors. Sailfish now unlocks via the fingerprint reader in the power button very quickly and reliably and it takes you straight to the camera if you already had it open last.
There is no lock screen to swipe away as there is/was in Windows Mobile.

You also have the option in Open Camera to use the accelerometer to check that the image is level.
This feature can sometimes use some calibration however.
